CHAMPION: Otaegi/Unanue Wins 2020 Spanish Mixed Doubles Championship

Oihane Otaegi/Mikel Unanue (Txuri-Berri, ESP) won 7-5 over Maria Fernandez/Victor Mirete (Iparpolo, ESP) in the Final of the Spanish Mixed Doubles Championship, held January 24 - 26, 2020 in Jaca, Spain. To advance to the championship game, Otaegi/Unanue won 12-0 over Laura Almanzor/Llorenc Aparicio (Barcelona, ESP) in the semifinals of the 2020 Spanish Mixed Doubles Championship in Jaca, Spain;

Otaegi/Unanue are currently 3-0 in the 22-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Otaegi/Unanue defeated Siena Perez/Francisco Sandonis (Pisuerga, ESP) 13-1, then won 14-0 against Oihane Ruiz/Inigo Ruiz de Eguilaz (Harrikada, ESP) and 8-4 against Ruiz/Ruiz de Eguilaz. In their next game, Otaegi/Unanue plays.

For winning the Spanish Mixed Doubles Championship Championship title, Otaegi/Unanue earned 22.152 world rankings points. For week 27 of the event schedule, Otaegi/Unanue did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points.
