Matthew Hall (Kitchener, ON) finished 4-1 in the 11-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Hall defeated Damien Villard (Cambridge, ON) 8-0, then won 7-5 against Wayne Tuck Jr. (Brantford, ON) and 8-3 against Tyler Stewart (Waterloo, ON). Hall went on to lose 7-6 against Mark Kean (London, ON). Hall responded with a 7-6 win over Stewart in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Ontario Tankard - Open Qualifier, Hall take home 14.175 world rankings points, moving up 21 spots the World Ranking Standings into 94th place overall with 49.023 total points. Hall ranks 98th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 37.799 points earned so far this season.
