Jeff Brown (North Bay, NONT) finished 4-2 in the 7-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Brown defeated Shane Gordon (Sudbury, NONT) 11-3, then won 10-8 against Charlie Robert (Sault Ste Marie, NONT) and 8-6 against Nicholas Lemieux (Sault Ste Marie, NONT). Brown won 9-5 against Matt Mann (Sault Ste Marie, NONT). Brown went on to lose 8-3 against Clint Cudmore (Sault Ste Marie, NONT). Brown lost 9-3 to Ryan Sayer (New Liskeard, NONT) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Northern Ontario Men's East Qualifier Championship title, Brown earned 3.019 world rankings points. Brown move up 223 spots after posting a net gain of 3.009 points improving upon their best 8 results so far this season, ranking 351st overall with 3.039 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Brown ranks 315th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 3.019 points earned so far this season.
