Bryan Cochrane (Cornwall, PEI) finished 7-0 in the 11-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Cochrane defeated Rod MacDonald (Montague, PEI) 6-4, then won 10-3 against Steven van Ouwerkerk (Cornwall, PEI) and 8-1 against Eddie MacKenzie (Charlottetown, PEI). Cochrane won 5-3 against Phil Gorveatt (Charlottetown, PEI), then won 8-4 against MacKenzie and 8-1 against Mitchell Schut (Cornwall, PEI). Cochrane won 7-4 against Gorveatt in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the PEI Tankard Championship title, Cochrane earned 8.284 world rankings points. For week 25 of the event schedule, Cochrane did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Cochrane ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
