Veronica Smith (Summerside, PEI) run at the 2020 PEI Scotties came to an end in the semifinals with a 8-1 loss to Suzanne Birt (Montague, PEI). of the 2020 PEI Scotties in Montague, Prince Edward Island, Canada;

Smith finished 3-2 in the 5-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Smith defeated Amanda Power (Charlottetown, PEI) 8-1, then went on to lose 6-5 against Birt. Smith responded with a 6-3 win over Melissa Morrow (Summerside, PEI). Smith won 5-4 against Birt. Smith went on to lose 9-5 against Birt in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the PEI Scotties, Smith take home 4.538 world rankings points. For week 25 of the event schedule, Smith did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Smith ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
