Melissa Pierce (Edmonton, AB) finished 1-3 in the 11-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Pierce lost 7-1 to Kellie Stiksma (Edmonton, AB), droppimg another game, 10-3 to Krysta Hilker (St. Albert, AB) where Pierce responded with a 7-4 win over Ashley Kalk (Sherwood Park, AB). Pierce went on to lose 7-4 against Holly Scott (Edmonton, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
