James Grattan (Oromocto, NB) won 8-6 over Jason Roach (Saint John, NB) in the Final Grattan advanced directly to the championship game after finishing first in the preliminary round. of the New Brunswick Tankard, held January 29 - February 2, 2020 at the Capital Winter Curling Club in Fredericton, Canada.
 
Grattan finished 6-1 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Grattan defeated Ed Cyr (Fredericton, NB) 6-3, then won 5-3 against Rene Comeau (Saint John, NB). Grattan went on to lose 7-4 against Roach. Grattan responded with a 8-6 win over Ryan Cain (Fredericton, NB). Grattan won 6-2 against Trevor Hanson (Oromocto, NB), then won 9-3 against Terry Odishaw (Moncton, NB) and 9-3 against Scott Jones (Moncton, NB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the New Brunswick Tankard Championship title, Grattan earned 8.438 world rankings points, moving up 6 spots the World Ranking Standings into 79th place overall with 60.528 total points. Grattan ranks 76th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 55.749 points earned so far this season.
