Michael Fournier (Montreal, QC) run at the 2020 WFG Quebec Tankard came to an end in the semifinals with a 9-8 loss to Alek Bedard (Lacolle, QC). of the 2020 WFG Quebec Tankard in Valleyfield, Quebec;

Fournier finished 7-2 in the 14-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Fournier defeated Yannick Martel (Saguenay, QC) 10-2, then won 10-5 against Greg Balsdon (Montreal, QC). Fournier went on to lose 8-7 against Steven Munroe (Levis, QC). Fournier responded with a 9-3 win over Scott Hill (Ormstown, QC). Fournier won 7-2 against Alex Berube (Mont-Bruno, QC), then won 11-5 against Martin Ferland (Trois-Rivieres, QC) and 11-5 against Mark Homan (Gatineau, QC). Fournier won 8-6 against Bedard. Fournier went on to lose 9-3 against Vincent Roberge (Levis, QC) in their final qualifying round match.

Fournier earned 10.587 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the WFG Quebec Tankard. Fournier move up 3 spots after posting a net gain of 0.364 points improving upon their best 8 results so far this season, ranking 31st overall with 128.549 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Fournier ranks 30th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 118.325 points earned so far this season.
