Michele Jaeggi/Marc Pfister (Bern, SUI) won 13-5 over Norway's Martine Ronning/Mathias Braenden in the Final of the Gothenburg Mixed Doubles Cup, held December 28 - 30, 2019 in Gothenburg, Sweden. To advance to the championship game, Jaeggi/Pfister won 7-4 over Therese Westman/Robin Ahlberg (Stockholm, SWE) in the semifinals of the 2019 Gothenburg Mixed Doubles Cup in Gothenburg, Sweden; and won 9-5 over Jasmin Lander/Henrik Holtermann (Hvidovre, DEN) in the quarterfinals.
Jaeggi/Pfister finished 4-0 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Jaeggi/Pfister defeated Margarita Stoyan/Maxim Stoyan (Minsk, BLR) 14-1, then won 11-3 against Vilma Ahlstrom/Arvid Norin (Landvetter, SWE) and 7-4 against Lander/Holtermann. Jaeggi/Pfister won 7-3 against Inga Norrbelius/Lars-Ake Linander (Aksberga, SWE) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Gothenburg Mixed Doubles Cup Championship title, Jaeggi/Pfister earned 20.303 world rankings points along with the $979CDN first prize cheque. For week 23 of the event schedule, Jaeggi/Pfister did not improve upon their best events, remaining at 668th place on the World Ranking Standings with 2.764 total points. Jaeggi/Pfister ranks 224th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 2.764 points earned so far this season.
