In their opening game, Horgan defeated Nicholas Lemieux (Sault Ste Marie, NONT) 5-3, then won 5-1 against Jonathon Vellinga (Kakabeka Falls, NONT) and 9-3 against Lemieux. Horgan won 7-3 against Vellinga in their final qualifying round match.
