Lucien Lottenbach (Zug, SUI) lost 8-6 to Peter De Cruz (Geneva, SUI) in the Final of the Schweizer Cup, held December 19 - 22, 2019 in Biel, Switzerland. To advance to the championship game, Lottenbach won 8-7 over Jan Hess (Zug, SUI) in the semifinals of the 2019 Schweizer Cup in Biel, Switzerland;
Lottenbach finished 4-1 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Lottenbach defeated Christian Bangerter (Bern, SUI) 10-2, then won 10-4 against Andrin Schnider (St. Gallen, SUI) and 7-3 against Noe Traub (Basel, SUI). Lottenbach went on to lose 5-3 against Yannick Schwaller (Bern, SUI). Lottenbach responded with a 7-3 win over Yves Wagenseil (Bern, SUI) in their final qualifying round match.
With their runner-up finish at the Schweizer Cup, Lottenbach take home 19.797 world rankings points along with the $4,022CDN prize.
