Gabriela Kajanova (Bratislava, SVK) finished 5-4 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Kajanova lost 6-3 to Elina Virtaala (Hyvinkaa, FIN), droppimg another game, 10-8 to Lisa Farnell (Kent, ENG) where Kajanova responded with a 12-10 win over Lithuania's Asta Vaicekonyte. Kajanova went on to lose 7-4 against Dilsat Yildiz (Eruzurum, TUR). Kajanova responded with a 5-4 win over Oihane Otaegi (San Sebastien, ESP). Kajanova went on to lose 9-1 against Veronica Zappone (Pinerolo, ITA). Kajanova responded with a 7-5 win over Marta Pluta (Gliwice, POL). Kajanova won 6-4 against Marharyta Dziashuk (Minsk, BLR), then won 8-5 against Dorottya Palancsa (Budapest, HUN) in their final qualifying round match.

Kajanova earned 5.210 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, moving up 71 spots the World Ranking Standings into 196th place overall with 5.835 total points. Kajanova ranks 166th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 5.210 points earned so far this season.
