In their opening game, McDonald defeated Miranda Scheel (Fargo, ND) 10-7, then went on to lose 8-1 against Wesley Wendling (Wausau, WI). McDonald responded with a 7-1 win over Kyan Ponzio (Shoreview, MN). McDonald went on to lose 7-6 against Charlie Thompson (Lowell, MA) in their final qualifying round match.
