In their opening game, Tuma defeated Allison Tan (Bellevue, WA) 6-3, then won 14-0 against Max Kassner (Glenview, IL) and 11-2 against Maxwell Salander (Mendotta, IL). Tuma won 6-5 against Connor Kauffman (Lynnwood, WA), then won 7-5 against Coleman Thurston (Poynette, WI) in their final qualifying round match.
