Elizaveta Trukhina/Nikolay Lysakov (Irkutsk, RUS) won 7-4 over Nkeiruka Ezekh/Sergei Glukhov (Moscow, RUS) in the Final of the International Mixed Doubles Sochi, held February 27 - March 1, 2020 in Sochi, Russia. To advance to the championship game, Trukhina/Lysakov won 5-4 over Zuzana Paulova/Tomas Paul (Prague, CZE) in the semifinals of the 2020 International Mixed Doubles Sochi in Sochi, Russia; and won 9-5 over Ekaterina Glebova/Artem Ruchkin (Sochi, RUS) in the quarterfinals.
Trukhina/Lysakov finished 5-0 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Trukhina/Lysakov defeated Margarita Fomina/Alexey Stukalsky (Moscow, RUS) 11-4, then won 13-3 against Karoliine Kaare/Harri Lill (Tallinn, EST) and 11-2 against Anastasia Sushkova/Kamil Karimov (Tatarstan, RUS). Trukhina/Lysakov won 11-1 against Julia Bulavina/Evgeny Sokolov (Novosibirsk, RUS), then won 12-0 against Glebova/Ruchkin in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the International Mixed Doubles Sochi Championship title, Trukhina/Lysakov earned 20.384 world rankings points along with the $4,685CDN first prize cheque, remaining in 668th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 10.192 after improving upon their best so far this season. Trukhina/Lysakov ranks 170th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 11.992 points earned so far this season.
