Alonso finished 7-2 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Alonso defeated Angel Garcia A. (Madrid, ESP) 8-5, then won 7-5 against Xavier Campos (Puigcerda, ESP) and 7-4 against Maximo Calvo (Harrikada, ESP). Alonso won 5-3 against Raul Garcia G. (Pisuerga, ESP). Alonso went on to lose 11-2 against Garcia. Alonso responded with a 9-8 win over Jose Maria Hernandez Berenguer (l'Olla, ESP). Alonso won 7-6 against Ignacio Galdeano (Pisuerga, ESP), then won 7-6 against Llorenc Aparicio (Barcelona, ESP). Alonso went on to lose 6-3 against Vez in their final qualifying round match.

With their fourth place finish at the Spanish Mens National Championship, Alonso take home 6.113 world rankings points. For week 33 of the event schedule, Alonso did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Alonso ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
