(Madrid, ESP) 8-5, then won 7-5 against Xavier Campos (Puigcerda, ESP) and 7-4 against Maximo Calvo (Harrikada, ESP). Alonso won 5-3 against Raul Garcia G. (Pisuerga, ESP). Alonso went on to lose 11-2 against Garcia. Alonso responded with a 9-8 win over Jose Maria Hernandez Berenguer (l'Olla, ESP). Alonso won 7-6 against Ignacio Galdeano (Pisuerga, ESP), then won 7-6 against Llorenc Aparicio (Barcelona, ESP). Alonso went on to lose 6-3 against Vez in their final qualifying round match.
