Rupp/Wunderlin went on to lose 12-3 against Melanie Barbezat/Peter De Cruz (Geneve, SUI). Rupp/Wunderlin responded with a 9-3 win over Lea Huppi/Jonas Weiss (Kusnacht, SUI). Rupp/Wunderlin went on to lose 9-8 against Laura Engler/Marco Hefti (St. Gallen, SUI). Rupp/Wunderlin lost 7-3 to Lisa Gisler/Romano Meier (Baden, SUI) in their final qualifying round match.

Rupp/Wunderlin earned 4.793 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins.
