Laura Engler/Marco Hefti (St. Gallen, SUI) finished 2-5 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Engler/Hefti lost 10-5 to Lara Stocker/Nicola Stoll (St. Gallen, SUI), then responded with a 9-4 win over Lea Huppi/Jonas Weiss (Kusnacht, SUI). Engler/Hefti went on to lose 8-4 against Carole Howald/Jan Hess (Burgdorf, SUI). Engler/Hefti lost 8-4 to Lisa Gisler/Romano Meier (Baden, SUI). Engler/Hefti lost 13-2 to Alina Paetz/Sven Michel (Aarau, SUI) where Engler/Hefti responded with a 9-8 win over Daniela Rupp/Kevin Wunderlin (Zug, SUI). Engler/Hefti went on to lose 11-3 against Melanie Barbezat/Peter De Cruz (Geneve, SUI) in their final qualifying round match.

Engler/Hefti earned 4.793 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, remaining in 668th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 2.42 after improving upon their best so far this season. Engler/Hefti ranks 36th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 55.792 points earned so far this season.
