Chase Sinnett (Chaska, USA) finished 5-2 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Sinnett defeated Jayden King (Kingston, ON) 5-4, then went on to lose 8-3 against Tyler Smith (Charlottetown, PEI). Sinnett responded with a 4-3 win over Jordan McNamara (Ottawa, ON). Sinnett won 7-3 against Graeme Weagle (Halifax, NS), then won 7-1 against Smith. Sinnett went on to lose 8-3 against Sam Mooibroek (Kitchener-Waterloo, ON). Sinnett responded with a 9-2 win over Ontario's Owen Purdy in their final qualifying round match.
