Suyuan Fan/Jiawen Nan (Beijing, CHN) finished 1-3 in the 21-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Fan/Nan lost 7-3 to Brittany Tran/Aaron Sluchinski (Calgary, AB), droppimg another game, 9-4 to Christie Gamble/Tyler Gamble (Regina, SK) where Fan/Nan responded with a 7-1 win over Kirsten Silcox/Jason Keerak (Cochrane, AB). Fan/Nan went on to lose 7-6 against Michelle Englot/Derek Schneider (Regina, SK) in their final qualifying round match.

Fan/Nan earned 1.968 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, remaining in 668th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 0.62 after improving upon their best so far this season. Fan/Nan ranks 23rd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 82.822 points earned so far this season.
