Brett Barber/Mitch Heidt (Regina, SK) finished 4-2 in the 25-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Barber/Heidt defeated Saskatchewan's Kya Kennedy/Landon Field 7-4, then went on to lose 7-5 against Nancy Martin/Brady Scharback (Saskatoon, SK). Barber/Heidt lost 8-3 to Ying Yang/Zhi Ling (Beijing, CHN) where Barber/Heidt responded with a 12-3 win over Delee Miller/Brett Miller (Saskatoon, SK). Barber/Heidt won 9-7 against Saskatchewan's Mackenzie Schwartz/Sam Wills, then won 7-6 against Yang/Ling in their final qualifying round match.

The berth into the first round of the Sutherland Mixed Doubles Curling Classic playoffs earned Barber/Heidt 7.191 world rankings points. For week 29 of the event schedule, Barber/Heidt did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Barber/Heidt ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
