Ying Yang/Zhi Ling (Beijing, CHN) finished 3-3 in the 25-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Yang/Ling lost 8-7 to Kayla Skrlik/Gregg Hamilton (Calgary, AB), then responded with a 10-5 win over Samantha Mckee/Mark Seabrook (North Battleford, SK). Yang/Ling won 8-3 against Brett Barber/Mitch Heidt (Regina, SK), then won 8-4 against Hui Yan/Cheng Kuo (Beijing, CHN). Yang/Ling went on to lose 10-7 against Jill de Gooijer/Garret Springer (Regina, SK). Yang/Ling lost 7-6 to Barber/Heidt in their final qualifying round match.

Yang/Ling earned 4.045 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 29 of the event schedule, Yang/Ling did not improve upon their best events, remaining at 668th place on the World Ranking Standings with 79.850 total points.
