Jamie Murphy (Halifax, NS) lost 9-5 to Scott Jones (Moncton, NB) in the Final of the Steele Cup Cash, held October 17 - 20, 2019 at the Capital Winter Curling Club in Fredericton, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Murphy won 7-3 over Jack Smeltzer (Fredericton, NB) in the semifinals of the 2019 Steele Cup Cash in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada;

Murphy finished 3-1 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Murphy lost 6-3 to Mike Flannery (Fredericton, NB), then responded with a 6-4 win over Wayne Tallon (Fredericton, NB). Murphy won 7-5 against Trevor Hanson (Oromocto, NB), then won 8-4 against Jones in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Steele Cup Cash, Murphy take home 10.275 world rankings points along with the $1,700CDN prize. Murphy move up 2 spots after posting a net gain of 1.028 points improving upon their best 4 results so far this season, ranking 45th overall with 101.353 total points on the World Ranking Standings.
