Homan/Morris finished 5-0 in the 36-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Homan/Morris defeated Karen Dreaver/Mitch Dublanica (Canmore, AB) 10-4, then won 7-3 against Hungary's Ildiko Szekeres/Gyorgy Nagy and 7-4 against Erin Pincott/Matt Dunstone (Kamloops, BC). Homan/Morris won 10-2 against F. Tod/M. Tod (Okotoks, AB), then won 9-6 against Shannon Birchard/Catlin Schneider (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Qualico Mixed Doubles Classic Championship title, Homan/Morris earned 57.294 world rankings points along with the $8,500CDN first prize cheque, remaining in 668th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 44.372 after improving upon their best so far this season.
