In their opening game, Corbett defeated Craig Nicko (Blaine, MN) 5-2, then won 8-2 against Jordan Chandler (Manitoulin, NONT). Corbett went on to lose 6-2 against Scott Dunnam (Philadelphia, PA). Corbett responded with a 6-1 win over Kevin Tuma (St. Paul, MN). Corbett went on to lose 8-0 against Tsuyoshi Yamaguchi (Nagano, JPN) in their final qualifying round match.

Corbett earned 2.769 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, moving up 16 spots the World Ranking Standings into 180th place overall with 14.077 total points. Corbett ranks 74th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 2.769 points earned so far this season.
