To advance to the championship game, Haupstein/Pomedli won 5-4 over Selena Sturmay/Karsten Sturmay (Edmonton, AB) in the semifinals of the 2019 Battleford Mixed Doubles Fall Curling Classic in North Battleford, Saskatchewan, Canada; and won 8-4 over Chantele Broderson/Kyler Kleibrink (Calgary, AB) in the quarterfinals.
Haupstein/Pomedli finished 4-2 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Haupstein/Pomedli defeated Samantha Mckee/Mark Seabrook (North Battleford, SK) 14-1, then won 9-8 against Ashley Quick/Mike Armstrong (Regina, SK). Haupstein/Pomedli went on to lose 6-5 against Broderson/Kleibrink. Haupstein/Pomedli lost 9-8 to Sturmay/Sturmay where Haupstein/Pomedli responded with a 7-5 win over Ashley Becker/Ryan Skjerdal (Weyburn, SK). Haupstein/Pomedli won 9-1 against Ellen Redlick/Ian Naismith (North Battleford, SK) in their final qualifying round match.
