Ocker/Kapp finished 2-1 in the 14-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Ocker/Kapp defeated Astrid Pfluegler/Jonas Backofen (Kitzbuehel, AUT) 10-5, then won 8-5 against Switzerland's Laura Engler/Marco Hefti. Ocker/Kapp went on to lose 8-2 against Dorottya Palancsa/Zsolt Kiss (Budapest, HUN) in their final qualifying round match.
