MacDougall finished 4-1 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, MacDougall defeated Nova Scotia's Mike Callaghan 8-4, then won 7-4 against Stuart Thompson (Dartmouth, NS). MacDougall went on to lose 6-5 against Kevin Ouellette (Halifax, NS). MacDougall responded with a 7-4 win over Nova Scotia's Graeme Weagle. MacDougall won 6-4 against Nova Scotia's Ethan Young in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Bud Light Men's Cash Spiel, MacDougall take home 11.468 world rankings points along with the $1,200CDN prize, moving up 25 spots the World Ranking Standings into 102nd place overall with 38.383 total points. MacDougall ranks 96th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 12.459 points earned so far this season.
