In their opening game, Turmann defeated Ieva Rudzite (Riga, LAT) 8-6, then won 9-3 against Virginija Paulauskaite (Vilnius, LTU) and 7-6 against Corrie Huerlimann (Zug, SUI). Turmann won 7-5 against Amy MacDonald (Stirling, SCO), then won 6-4 against Milija Sullanmaa (Hyvinkaa, FIN) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Tallinn Ladies International Challenger Championship title, Turmann earned 17.524 world rankings points along with the $1,753CDN first prize cheque.
