Iveta Stasa-Sarsune (Riga, LAT) lost 8-6 to Maia Ramsfjell (Lillehammer, NOR) in the Final of the Latvia International Challenger, held October 24 - 27, 2019 in Tukums, Latvia. To advance to the championship game, Stasa-Sarsune won 5-3 over Amy MacDonald (Stirling, SCO) in the semifinals   of the 2019 Latvia International Challenger in Tukums, Latvia; and won 9-4 over Ieva Rudzite (Riga, LAT) in the quarterfinals.  of the 2019 Latvia International Challenger in Tukums, Latvia; 
 
Stasa-Sarsune finished 3-1 in the 13-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Stasa-Sarsune defeated Natalia Sverzhinskaya (Minsk, BLR) 10-2, then won 7-1 against Anastasia Babarykina (Saint Petersburg, RUS). Stasa-Sarsune went on to lose 7-6 against Virginija Paulauskaite (Vilnius, LTU). Stasa-Sarsune responded with a 9-1 win over Lisa Farnell (Kent, ENG) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Latvia International Challenger, Stasa-Sarsune take home 9.390 world rankings points along with the $1,158CDN prize, moving up 15 spots the World Ranking Standings into 113th place overall with 27.733 total points. Stasa-Sarsune ranks 109th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 9.390 points earned so far this season.
