Tanner Horgan (Winnipeg Beach, MB) lost 5-4 to Korey Dropkin (Chaska, USA) in the Final of the Kioti Tractor Tour Challenge Tier 2, held November 5 - 10, 2019 in Pictou County, Nova Scotia. To advance to the championship game, Horgan won 6-3 over Kirk Muyres (Saskatoon, SK) in the semifinals of the 2019 Kioti Tractor Tour Challenge Tier 2 in Pictou County, Nova Scotia; and won 6-3 over Rich Ruohonen (Minneapolis, USA) in the quarterfinals.
Horgan finished 4-0 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Horgan defeated James Grattan (Oromocto, NB) 7-4, then won 4-3 against Karsten Sturmay (Edmonton, AB) and 8-2 against Jamie Murphy (Halifax, NS). Horgan won 10-2 against Ruohonen in their final qualifying round match.
With their runner-up finish at the Kioti Tractor Tour Challenge Tier 2, Horgan take home 34.650 world rankings points along with the $8,000CDN prize, remaining in 22nd place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 23.769 after improving upon their best so far this season. Horgan ranks 8th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 141.610 points earned so far this season.
