Dropkin finished 2-2 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Dropkin defeated Chad Stevens (Truro, NS) 8-3, then went on to lose 6-5 against Rich Ruohonen (Minneapolis, USA). Dropkin lost 6-3 to Kendal Thompson (Halifax, NS) where Dropkin responded with a 7-3 win over Karsten Sturmay (Edmonton, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Kioti Tractor Tour Challenge Tier 2 Championship title, Dropkin earned 47.250 world rankings points along with the $10,000CDN first prize cheque. Dropkin move up 4 spots after posting a net gain of 44.906 points improving upon their best 5 results so far this season, ranking 21st overall with 219.304 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Dropkin ranks 15th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 124.817 points earned so far this season.
