To advance to the championship game, Murphy won 8-5 over Corryn Brown (Kamloops, BC) in the semifinals of the 2019 Kioti Tractor Tour Challenge Tier 2 in Pictou County, Nova Scotia; and won 6-4 over Hollie Duncan (Toronto , ON) in the quarterfinals. of the 2019 Kioti Tractor Tour Challenge Tier 2 in Pictou County, Nova Scotia;
Murphy finished 2-2 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Murphy defeated Laurie St-Georges (Montreal, QC) 6-4, then went on to lose 8-3 against Binia Feltscher (Langenthal, SUI). Murphy responded with a 5-4 win over Jill Brothers (Halifax, NS). Murphy went on to lose 9-2 against Beth Peterson (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
With their runner-up finish at the Kioti Tractor Tour Challenge Tier 2, Murphy take home 33.206 world rankings points along with the $8,000CDN prize. Murphy move up 6 spots after posting a net gain of 27.786 points improving upon their best 5 results so far this season, ranking 24th overall with 193.753 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Murphy ranks 27th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 92.109 points earned so far this season.
