Yusuke Morozumi (Karuizawa, JPN) won 7-6 over Jongduk Park (Gangwon, KOR) in the Final of the ADVICS Cup, held August 9 - 12, 2019 in Kitami, Japan. To advance to the championship game, Morozumi won 8-4 over De Jia Zou (Beijing, CHN) in the semifinals
 
Morozumi finished 3-1 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Morozumi defeated Jason Gunnlaugson (Winnipeg, MB) 7-2, then went on to lose 6-5 against Park. Morozumi responded with a 8-0 win over Junpei Kanda (Tokyo, JPN). Morozumi won 7-2 against Naomasa Takeda (Sapporo, JPN) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the ADVICS Cup Championship title, Morozumi earned 28.885 world rankings points along with the $12,497CDN first prize cheque, moving up 29 spots the World Ranking Standings into 55th place overall with 69.546 total points. Morozumi ranks 2nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 30.713 points earned so far this season.
