In their opening game, Niepage lost 8-5 to Ontario's Gavin Lydiate, then responded with a 9-6 win over Jacob Jones (Grimsby, ON). Niepage went on to lose 6-5 against Daniel Del Conte (Hamilton, ON). Niepage responded with a 10-3 win over Ontario's Aden Chow. Niepage went on to lose 7-6 against Connor Massey (Toronto, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
