Aileen Neilson (Stirling, SCO) lost 5-2 to Haitao Wang (Beijing, CHN) in the Final of the World Wheelchair Curling Championship, held March 3 - 10, 2019 in Stirling, Scotland. To advance to the championship game, Neilson won 7-3 over Rune Lorentsen (Oslo, NOR) in the semifinals of the 2019 World Wheelchair Curling Championship in Stirling, Scotland; and won 7-6 over Radoslav Duris (Bratislava, SVK) in the quarterfinals. of the 2019 World Wheelchair Curling Championship in Stirling, Scotland;
Neilson finished 7-4 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Neilson lost 5-4 to Switzerland's Raymond Pfyffer, droppimg another game, 8-7 to Polina Rozkova (Riga, LAT) where Neilson responded with a 9-7 win over Germany's Christiane Putzich. Neilson won 7-4 against Lorentsen, then won 7-6 against Jinho Cha (Seoul, KOR). Neilson went on to lose 7-3 against Wang. Neilson responded with a 7-6 win over Steve Emt (Madison, USA). Neilson went on to lose 9-5 against Duris. Neilson responded with a 5-4 win over Andrey Smirnov (Moscow, RUS). Neilson won 9-3 against Viljar Villiste (Tallinn, EST), then won 5-3 against Canada's Mark Ideson in their final qualifying round match.
