Kawamura went on to lose 8-7 against Aki Goto (Suzuka, JPN). Kawamura lost 9-3 to Seina Nakajima (Nagano, JPN). Kawamura lost 8-2 to Satsuki Fujisawa (Kitami, JPN). Kawamura lost 9-4 to Mayu Natsuizaka (Sapporo, JPN) where Kawamura responded with a 9-8 win over Kaede Kudo (Tokyo, JPN) in their final qualifying round match.

Kawamura earned 4.097 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, moving up 108 spots the World Ranking Standings into 221st place overall with 4.097 total points. Kawamura ranks 220th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 4.097 points earned so far this season.
