Satsuki Fujisawa (Kitami, JPN) lost 11-3 to Seina Nakajima (Nagano, JPN) in the Final of the ZEN-NOH Japan Curling Championships, held February 12 - 17, 2019 in Sapporo, Japan. To advance to the championship game, Fujisawa won 10-8 over Sayaka Yoshimura (Sapporo, JPN) in the semifinals of the 2019 ZEN-NOH Japan Curling Championships in Sapporo, Japan;
Fujisawa finished 7-1 in the 9-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Fujisawa lost 6-5 to Nakajima, then responded with a 9-3 win over Kaede Kudo (Tokyo, JPN). Fujisawa won 5-4 against Tori Koana (Fujiyoshida, JPN), then won 17-1 against Minako Tsuji (Karuizawa, JPN) and 8-1 against Mayu Natsuizaka (Sapporo, JPN). Fujisawa won 8-2 against Wakaba Kawamura (Aomori, JPN), then won 9-4 against Yoshimura and 6-4 against Aki Goto (Suzuka, JPN) in their final qualifying round match.
With their runner-up finish at the ZEN-NOH Japan Curling Championships, Fujisawa take home 30.044 world rankings points. Fujisawa move up 2 spots after posting a net gain of 20.995 points improving upon their best 8 results so far this season, ranking 6th overall with 245.760 total points on the World Ranking Standings.
