Andrew Symonds (St. John's, NL) is set to play Symonds in the Final Symonds advanced directly to the championship game after finishing first in the preliminary round. of the Newfoundland & Labrador Tankard, held January 29 - February 3, 2019 in St. Johns, Newfoundland / Labrador. To advance to the championship game, Symonds won 5-0 over Rick Rowsell (St. John's, NL) in the semifinals of the 2019 Newfoundland & Labrador Tankard in St. Johns, Newfoundland / Labrador;

Symonds finished 5-1 in the 5-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Symonds defeated Matthew Smith (St. John's, NL) 7-4, then won 9-0 against Colin Thomas (St. John's, NL) and 8-2 against Trent Skanes (St. John's, NL). Symonds won 8-3 against Greg Smith (St. John's, NL), then won 8-5 against Skanes. Symonds went on to lose 7-4 against Rowsell in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Newfoundland & Labrador Tankard Championship title, Symonds earned 3.375 world rankings points. For week 25 of the event schedule, Symonds did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Symonds ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
