In their opening game, Symonds defeated Matthew Smith (St. John's, NL) 7-4, then won 9-0 against Colin Thomas (St. John's, NL) and 8-2 against Trent Skanes (St. John's, NL). Symonds won 8-3 against Greg Smith (St. John's, NL), then won 8-5 against Skanes. Symonds went on to lose 7-4 against Rowsell in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Newfoundland & Labrador Tankard Championship title, Symonds earned 3.375 world rankings points. For week 25 of the event schedule, Symonds did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points.
