Brad Jacobs (Sault Ste Marie, ON) won 7-5 over Tanner Horgan (Sudbury, NONT) in the Final of the Northern Ontario Tankard, held January 30 - February 3, 2019 in Nipigon, Ontario. To advance to the championship game, Jacobs won 7-6 over Mike McCarville (Thunder Bay, NONT) in the semifinals of the 2019 Northern Ontario Tankard in Nipigon, Ontario;

Jacobs finished 6-1 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Jacobs defeated McCarville 4-2, then won 10-4 against Robbie Gordon (Sudbury, NONT) and 9-3 against Dustin Montpellier (Copper Cliff, NONT). Jacobs won 7-1 against Jordan Chandler (Sudbury, NONT), then won 7-5 against Dylan Johnston (Thunder Bay, NONT). Jacobs went on to lose 9-6 against Horgan. Jacobs responded with a 9-1 win over Trevor Bonot (Thunder Bay, NONT) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Northern Ontario Tankard Championship title, Jacobs earned 12.263 world rankings points. For week 25 of the event schedule, Jacobs did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Jacobs ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
