Mark Walter (Lampman, SK) finished 3-3 in the 11-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Walter defeated Tye Olson (Estevan, SK) 10-9, then won 9-3 against Shawn Meyer (Regina, SK). Walter went on to lose 10-9 against Jeff Hartung (Langenburg, SK). Walter lost 8-2 to Brady Kendel (Kronau, SK) where Walter responded with a 7-5 win over Tyler Krupski (Regina, SK). Walter went on to lose 10-6 against Kendel in their final qualifying round match.

Walter earned 1.450 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 23 of the event schedule, Walter did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Walter ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
