Anne Shibuya (Sao Paolo, BRZ) finished 3-4 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Shibuya defeated Marie Turmann (Tallinn, EST) 10-6, then went on to lose 10-2 against Oona Kauste (Aland, FIN). Shibuya lost 6-5 to Marta Pluta (Gilwice, POL) where Shibuya responded with a 7-5 win over Ling-Yue Hung (Hong Kong, HKG). Shibuya went on to lose 8-6 against Dorottya Palancsa (Budapest, HUN). Shibuya responded with a 8-6 win over Bridget Becker (Naseby, NZL). Shibuya went on to lose 9-1 against Jie Mei (Beijing, CHN) in their final qualifying round match.

Shibuya earned 3.848 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, moving up 118 spots the World Ranking Standings into 226th place overall with 3.848 total points. Shibuya ranks 218th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 3.848 points earned so far this season.
