Suzanne Birt (Charlottetown, PEI) won 10-4 over Veronica Smith (Charlottetown, PEI) in the Final of the PEI Scotties, held January 9 - 13, 2019 in Alberton, Prince Edward Island. To advance to the championship game, Birt won 7-6 over Sarah Fullerton (Charlottetown, PEI) in the semifinals of the 2019 PEI Scotties in Alberton, Prince Edward Island;
 
Birt finished 4-2 in the 7-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Birt lost 13-3 to Melissa Morrow (Summerside, PEI), then responded with a 9-5 win over Lisa Jackson (Charlottetown, PEI). Birt went on to lose 7-6 against Smith. Birt responded with a 11-1 win over Jackson. Birt won 8-2 against Fullerton, then won 9-7 against Smith in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the PEI Scotties Championship title, Birt earned 6.750 world rankings points. Birt move up 5 spots after posting a net gain of 3.654 points improving upon their best 8 results so far this season, ranking 42nd overall with 100.223 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Birt ranks 40th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 94.030 points earned so far this season.
