Likely finished 6-1 in the 6-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Likely defeated Darren Higgins (Summerside, PEI) 6-4, then won 7-4 against Steven van Ouwerkerk (Summerside, PEI) and 6-5 against Jamie Newson (Summerside, PEI). Likely went on to lose 7-1 against Tyler Smith (Charlottetown, PEI). Likely responded with a 8-6 win over van Ouwerkerk. Likely won 5-4 against MacKenzie, then won 7-2 against Higgins in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the PEI Tankard Championship title, Likely earned 3.375 world rankings points. Likely move up 30 spots after posting a net gain of 1.606 points improving upon their best 8 results so far this season, ranking 267th overall with 6.914 total points on the World Ranking Standings.
