Fredrik Nyman (Stockholm, SWE) lost 5-2 to Niklas Edin (Karlstad, SWE) in the Final of the Swedish Championship, held January 2 - 6, 2019 in Jonkoping, Sweden. To advance to the championship game, Nyman won 6-1 over Daniel Magnusson (Karlstad, SWE) in the semifinals of the 2019 Swedish Championship in Jonkoping, Sweden; and won 8-3 over Anders Kraupp (Stocksund, SWE) in the quarterfinals. of the 2019 Swedish Championship in Jonkoping, Sweden;

Nyman finished 3-2 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Nyman defeated Tony Poelder (Jonkoping, SWE) 9-4, then won 7-3 against Patric Mabergs (Goteborg, SWE). Nyman went on to lose 9-4 against Edin. Nyman lost 6-5 to Johan Engqvist (Harnosand, SWE) where Nyman responded with a 7-0 win over Johan Hedin (Sundbyberg, SWE) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Swedish Championship, Nyman take home 20.221 world rankings points, moving up 33 spots the World Ranking Standings into 79th place overall with 54.757 total points. Nyman ranks 84th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 40.750 points earned so far this season.
