After advancing directly to the championship game, Veronica Bernard (Elmira, ON) lost 8-5 to Thea Coburn (Dundas, ON) in the Final of the Ontario Junior Curling Championships, held December 27 - 30, 2018 in Ajax, Ontario.
 
Bernard finished 6-1 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Bernard lost 8-6 to Courtney Auld (Kingston, ON), then responded with a 11-5 win over Coburn. Bernard won 9-1 against Maddy Warriner (Listowel, ON), then won 10-2 against Kayla Gray (Perth, ON) and 10-7 against Emma Wallingford (Ottawa, ON). Bernard won 6-5 against Lindsay Kastrau (Ottawa, ON), then won 8-3 against Mackenzie Kiemele (Elora, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
 
. For week 20 of the event schedule, Bernard did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Bernard ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
