In their opening game, Bain defeated Reese Wainman (Inuvik, NT) 12-1, then went on to lose 10-5 against Cassie Rogers (Yellowknife, NT). Bain responded with a 11-0 win over Wainman. Bain won 10-5 against Rogers in their final qualifying round match.
