To advance to the championship game, Horton won 6-4 over Katelyn Wasylkiw (Unionville, ON) in the semifinals of the 2019 CurlON Women's Cash Spiel - Midland in Midland, Ontario, Canada; and won 8-7 over Danielle Inglis (Etobicoke, ON) in the quarterfinals. of the 2019 CurlON Women's Cash Spiel - Midland in Midland, Ontario, Canada;
Horton finished 3-1 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Horton lost 9-3 to Jestyn Murphy (Mississauga, ON), then responded with a 6-5 win over Julie Hastings (Thornhill, ON). Horton won 3-2 against Marteen Jones (Lindsay, ON), then won 9-7 against Jo-Ann Rizzo (Brantford, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the CurlON Women's Cash Spiel - Midland Championship title, Horton earned 25.575 world rankings points along with the $3,000CDN first prize cheque. Horton move up 12 spots after posting a net gain of 15.864 points improving upon their best 8 results so far this season, ranking 35th overall with 118.529 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Horton ranks 42nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 79.684 points earned so far this season.
