In their opening game, Usselman defeated John Stroh (Medicine Hat, AB) 6-5, then won 7-5 against Cole Adams (Calgary, AB) and 10-7 against Rob Johnson (Calgary, AB). Usselman went on to lose 7-1 against Scott Garnett (Strathmore, AB). Usselman lost 8-3 to Jeremy Harty (Calgary, AB) where Usselman responded with a 8-6 win over Trevor Funk (Medicine Hat, AB). Usselman went on to lose 9-8 against Denton Koch (Medicine Hat, AB) in their final qualifying round match.

Usselman earned 2.531 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 22 of the event schedule, Usselman did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Usselman ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
