Sarah Wark (Abbotsford, BC) won 7-4 over Corryn Brown (Kamloops, BC) in the Final of the BC Scotties, held January 29 - February 3, 2019 at the Victoria Curling Club in Victoria, Canada.
Wark finished 6-1 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Wark defeated Lindsay Hudyma (Vancouver, BC) 6-5, then won 8-7 against Kim Slattery (Vernon, BC) and 9-7 against Kesa Van Osch (Parksville, BC). Wark went on to lose 7-6 against Brette Richards (Kelowna, BC). Wark responded with a 8-5 win over Brown. Wark won 8-6 against Karla Thompson (Kamloops, BC), then won 7-5 against Diane Gushulak (New Westminster, BC) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the BC Scotties Championship title, Wark earned 12.938 world rankings points. For week 25 of the event schedule, Wark did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Wark ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
